Shekinah-Glory is a senior from Houston, TX, majoring in Bioengineering and minoring in Graphic Design. She is a member of Penn’s gospel choir, New Spirit of Penn, and is deeply passionate about her Christian faith. She enjoys writing, cooking, and spending time with her younger sisters.

Lisa is a junior, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in chemical and biomolecular engineering. She adovactes for young communities and is very interested in sharing STEM in K-12 schools in Philadelphia.

Amehja is an electrical engineering major and an aspiring NASA astronaut who is shooting for the stars and aiming for the first crewed mission to Mars. She hopes to engineer technologies which support environmental sustainability. She enjoys poetry, dance, film, and music.

Danielle Darfour

Danielle is a sophomore studying Computer & Information Science. As the Membership and Alumni Chair for NSBE, she focuses on growing our community by recruiting new members and fostering connections with our alumni network. Some of her favorite NSBE memories include organizing the bake sale, attending study hours, and enjoying board socials. She's excited to represent our chapter and connect with others at the 2025 NSBE National Conference!

Justin Monchais

Publications Chair

Justin is a sophomore studying Computer Engineering. During his time at Penn, he plans to delve into his interests in machine learning and the hardware-software interface through opportunities like Penn SumoBot and research assistantships. Beyond academics, Justin stays connected to his cultural heritage through active participation in the Caribbean American Student Association and other cultural opportunities across campus.

Derek Ike

Derek is a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Engineering Entrepreneurship. He's a member of the Penn Electric Racing Team, where he is co-designing and manufacturing the full brake system for the 2025 Competition race car. He also has interned in robotics research, under the GRASP Lab. Derek is passionate about Electric Vehicles, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on leveraging technology to create impactful solutions. In his free time, he enjoys skateboarding, R&B and his electric guitar.

Connor Cummings

Academic Excellence

Connor is a a Junior pursuing a BSE and accelerated MSE in Computer Science, along with minors in Math, Statistics, and Philosophy. On campus, he is a TA for CIS 1210, and part of the Penn Aerial Robotics club. He is particularly interested in the intersection of technology and finance--particularly applications to algorithmic trading. Connor has completed internships in private equity and software engineering, and will be interning at a quantitative investment firm next summer.
NuAmen is a sophomore from Maryland studying Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Jazz and Popular Music Studies. On campus, he is involved in The Inspiration A Cappella, Ase Academy, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Work Study. He enjoys collecting CDs, exploring Philly and solving a good crossword puzzle every now and then.

McKenzie is a freshman from Maryland, majoring in Bioengineering and minoring in Chemistry and Neuroscience and Healthcare Management. Alongside her position in NSBE, she is a First-Year Ambassador for the Underrepresented Student Advisory Board in Engineering. Outside of academics, she spends her time dancing as a part of West African Vibe (WAVe), where she serves as the External Affairs Chair. She is passionate about health and healthcare equity and cell/tissue engineering research. She loves listening to music (especially Afrobeats and R&B) and traveling with family and friends.
