Lisa is a senior, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She researches glass deposition in vacuum chambers in the Fakhraai Group, with additional experience in the Penn Institute of Computational Science studying low energy landscape glass simulations in the Crocker Lab. Apart from research, she advocates for young communities and is very interested in sharing STEM in K-12 schools in Philadelphia.

Danielle is a junior studying Computer Science. She has had previous experience in software engineering at companies like Amazon and Microsoft. At school, she is involved in NSBE, ColorStack, and a pre professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau. She also enjoys mentoring younger students, being open to all opportunities, and making new connections!

Tendai is a Senior studying bioengineering. He is making the most of his time at Penn through his coursework in immune engineering and medical device design, and his leadership positions in the National Society of Black Engineers and the Theta Tau engineering fraternity--two communities that have changed his life for the better and defined his time at Penn.
Programs Chair
Amehja is a Senior pursuing both a Bachelor's and Accelerated Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. As an aspiring NASA astronaut, she plans to apply her analog chip design, power electronics, and embedded systems interests to developing the next generation of space vehicles and satellite instrumentation for scientific discovery. Beyond academics, Amehja maintains her commitment to service through science as a member of the Onyx Senior Honor Society and as a NASA Partner Eclipse Ambassador, encouraging local communities to contribute to citizen science projects like NASA Aurorasaurus.

McKenzie is a Sophomore studying Bioengineering. As a future physician scientist, she has used her time at Penn to explore her interests in medical research through summer and school year positions as a research assistant at CHOP and Penn Medicine Rehabilitation. Outside of NSBE and her academics, she serves as an Ambassador for the Underrepresented Students Advisory Board in Engineering, a Resident Assistant for College Houses and Academic Services, and as a member and Manager of the West African Vibe dance team.
Victor Wanjohi
Senator
Victor is a sophomore studying Computer Engineering. He develops skills in power electronics through his work on Penn Hyperloop. He gained research experience in the Complex Fluids Lab, where he developed a humidity sensor network for data center cooling applications. Victor remains engaged with his cultural community as a member of the Society of African Internationals at Penn.

Connor is a Senior studying Computer Science and Statistics. At Penn, some interests he has explored are systems programming & performance computing, statistical algorithms, and philosophy. Outside of academics, he enjoys going to the gym, being a TA for Operating Systems, and engaging with prediction markets.

Elo is a sophomore studying Artificial Intelligence with interests in AI governance, policy, and how algorithmic bias shapes human rights. She conducts research at Perry World House focused on human rights in political speech. Outside her coursework, Elo enjoys playing piano and cello, going on hikes, watching films, and improving her French.

Ross is a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering. During his time at Penn, he plans to explore the intersection of engineering design, entrepreneurship, and economics through hands-on design projects and by pursuing the Engineering Entrepreneurship minor. Beyond academics, Ross stays connected to his passion for music as a member of an a cappella group (The Penny Loafers), and he continues to build a growing social media presence on campus.

Teni is a freshman studying Computer Science. As a first year student, she plans on diving deeper into her interests in designing software and artificial intelligence systems. Teni is also involved with various groups on campus including the Society of Women Engineers and Penn African Student Association.

Lucas is a junior pursuing an Honors major in Earth and Environmental Science along with an accelerated master’s degree in Energy and Sustainability Engineering. At Penn, he is exploring the fields of environmental chemistry and sustainable development through his research in the Plante Biogeochemistry Lab. He stays connected to his community through volunteering and partnerships with organizations such as the Philadelphia Emerging Contaminants Initiative. In the future, he hopes to gain professional experience in the clean energy sector and help advance America's green future.
